Message from the Dean

Welcome and it is my pleasure to serve as the Dean of Raffles Christian School Kelapa Gading Campus.

Being a world class, futuristic and Christian Learning Community, we at Raffles Christians School, are dedicated to our mission and vision to nurture our students to become active, lifelong learners and influential leaders of sterling character. Guided by our CHRIST values, we will make every effort for our students in Pre-Primary, Primary, Secondary and Junior College to be Compassionate, Honest, Reverent, Involved, Serving and Tenacious as they grow and reach their full potential.

As the newly appointed Dean of the Kelapa Gading Campus, I will devote myself to inspire our teachers to be passionate in everything that they do as educators especially in bringing out the best in every student they encounter. I will help our teachers and guide them to have that burning desire to always strive for excellence in the teaching and learning process, and in their involvement in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

I will continue the tradition of excellence in the academics and even bring it to greater heights. I believe that we, as a school community, can achieve more and are ready to soar high especially now that all 6 educational frameworks have been officially launched during the 3-days Wheels Up! Orientation for teachers held in Term 1 of the Academic Year 2018 – 2019. The Raffles Group of Schools 6 educational frameworks namely: Professional Development (PD) Framework, Character Development (CD) Framework, Learning Using Information and Communication Technology (LICT) Framework, Learning Beyond the Classroom (LBC) Framework, Aesthetics (Aes) Framework and Sports and Wellness (S&W) Framework will be the essential guiding structure in planning, designing and implementing our activities, both inside and outside the four walls of the classrooms to achieve student outcomes.

Through this initiative by our Director of Schools, Mr Gary Tan, and the support of the Leadership and Talent Development Unit (LTDU), our teachers are now more equipped and aware of the emerging trends and issues in education. We are ready for the challenges and embrace the paradigm shift from the traditional way we deliver our lessons to more effective and efficient approach to teaching and learning. We would like our students to take more ownership of their learning by implementing Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL), Self-Directed Learning (SDL) and Collaborative Learning (CoL), where teachers, as facilitators, will design the teaching and learning process in a way that is engaging and more student-centered. We will adopt a more holistic approach in the education of every child at Raffles Christian School. As important as the academics and character development, we will also focus our attention and resources in developing the inclination and talents of our students in performing arts, visual arts and sports.

As a school community, join us in this endearing journey: To Learn, To Lead, To Love.

To God be the glory!
